Whenever I go some place new I’m always gathering things that I want to remember the trip by:

• Restaurant receipts
• Business cards from restaurants and shops I want to remember
• Tickets from plane and train rides
• Brochures from museums, exhibits, temples, shrines, etc.
• City maps

Everything usually ends up tucked away in a box somewhere and years later I either haphazardly throw it all in a scrapbook or into the trash. Well one day I was cleaning out the coat closet and I came across this collage photo frame I must have purchased and completely forgot out. I instantly thought it was a genius solution to display everything I just accumulated from Japan. I got to work one lazy Sunday and started arranging all my paper souvenirs into this beautiful display. I just love how it turned out! It’s a nice balance of chaos and simplicity.
