Being a tourist in my own city: II

This weekend we decided to do some touristy things in our city, so when friends come to visit we can point them in the right direction when it comes to “must-see’s” in the city, ya know!? We rode the aerial tram (partly because we had a buy one, get one free coupon) but we’re glad we did because the views were incredible. A good view of Portland never gets old because it’s an absolutely gorgeous city. I would definitely recommend this quick trip to anyone new coming into town!

Seaside * Cannon Beach * Astoria

I spent this past Monday and Tuesday on the Oregon Coast with my family. My dad was at a conference in Seaside with his fellow firefighter friends, attending arson investigation workshops and seminars. Sounds super fun, right?! So my mom, sister and I took advantage of his free  hotel accommodations and us girls spent a few days at the beach, too. Since Seaside is right in-between Astoria and Cannon Beach, we decided to spend some time in each beach town. We walked on the beach, ate at Mo’s, walked around all the cute shops, had yummy brunch and took in all the sights of the ocean. It was a perfect few days just for us girls.

falling into fall

I have fall on my mind. Fall is hands down my favorite season and I am beyond excited that it’s right around the corner. I love the fresh, crisp air. I love the smells of cinnamon and pumpkin pie. I love the leaves turning yellow, orange and red. I love getting all warm and cozy in big sweaters. I love everything about fall.

And thanks to Pinterest, my fall obsessions are going overboard. Here are some of my current fall favorites:
