Merry Christmas

Happy Friday, everyone! I’ve been getting a lot of people asking for house photos, so I thought I’d share a few of our living room real quick. I’m in-between house cleaning, grocery shopping and last minute details before my family arrives for Christmas. I kinda wanted to wait until after the holidays when all the decorations are down and our place looks like our normal, everyday house, to show you all, but it looked so pretty today I thought I should share a few pictures of our festive living room now.

The Couch. Our favorite spot in the house.

the most adorable winter photoshoot you’ve ever seen

There’s a good chance that you’ve seen these pictures
floating around on Pinterest (where I first saw them, too…).
I think this might be the most adorable winter photoshoot
that I’ve ever seen.
How cute is this couple with lights strung around them,
while her gives her a smooch on the forehead?!
and the puppies in their Christmas outfits?!
Scroll down below and see for yourself.

Holiday decorating at our house

It’s no secret that I love Christmas!
part one and part two of my holiday wish lists,
and now here is our house all decked out for the holidays.
Fun fact about the “H” and “L” on our mantle.
Exactly one year earlier to the day that we moved into our new house,
we were in Boulder, CO for a mini weekend vacation and we bought these two letters.
At that moment, we decided one day we wanted to buy a house together
and put them in our house as a memory of that special weekend and our plans for our future.
Who would’ve thought that exactly one year to that very weekend
we’d be moving into our new house together?
It was definitely meant to be.
You can’t have Christmas decorations without the mistletoe.
Even my typewriter gets all fancy this time of year!
and it wouldn’t be Christmas without the holiday baking…

Puppy pictures!

Contemplating a walk over the bridge,
but she hasn’t figured out how to use the steps down yet.
Prancing around in the backyard, exploring her new home.
She looks so sad in this picture, but I promise she wasn’t.
She was running around in the backyard, wagging her little tail a mile a minute!
Her favorite spot. Laying on the couch next to Luke and I.
and taking little puppy naps.
Getting her to actually look at the camera is very difficult.
15 snaps later she finally looks my way.
and clearly she’s over it now.

My Holiday Wishlist (part two)

Because one list just wasn’t enough… I’m back for round two. Here was part one, in case you missed it.
1. Flip Cam. I know, I can shoot pretty good video on my camera, but I just love the idea of a pocket-sized video device.
2. Voluspa candle in Goji Berry. This candle reminds me of an Anthropologie that Luke and I visited in Boulder, CO. The entire stored smelled like this candle – it reminds both of us of one amazing trip that we took together. It would be nice to have some of these candles in our new house now.
3. Waffle Maker. Can you believe that we don’t own one of these already!? Seeing as Luke and I are huge breakfast fans, we need to add this to our life soon.
4. Wine Tower. Being the wine lover that I am, it’s safe to say that this will get some good use in our house.
5. Curtains, hanging ceiling lamps & paint. We need to spruce up our dining room and I think this will do the trick.
6. A Norfolk Terrier. This is the dog that we’ve both been wanting. We’re hoping for a Christmas Puppy.
